KARACHI: As specialists proceed with their cross country crackdown against the dollar, money sneaking and storing, it has been uncovered that more than $50 million have been accumulated by the cash mafia in homes across Karachi.


Security organizations have accumulated records of different banks and cash trade organizations alongside those engaged with the deal and acquisition of US dollars and other unfamiliar monetary standards, sources said.


Money head honchos who purchased the dollar as an "speculation" have not yet repaid more than $50 million.


Individuals part of the money mafia are situated in Karachi's old city regions, including Lyari, Kharadar, Mithadar, Clifton, Sadar, Shower Island and DHA areas.
